Counseling

School Counselors work collaboratively with school faculty and community services to promote student success.  They advocate within the school to impact student learning in the most efficient and positive way possible.  School Counselors focus on standards of achievement in the areas of academic development, social and emotional development, and college and career readiness.  Delivery of services is done in a variety of ways.  Large group, classroom, small group, and school-wide curricula and initiatives are incorporated into the school year.  Individual counseling services are offered to address immediate needs and concerns of students.  Consultation services with parents, teachers, other educators, and community organizations are focused on supporting student achievement.
