What's going on in Ms. Hesoun's Room?
The fifth grade students in my resource class are improving fluency and vocabulary through instruction using Steps to Advance which is a part of the Benchmark curriculum used in the ELA class. The units last for three weeks and correspond to the ELA standards and curriculum. (New links will be added as we enter a new unit.)

The sixth grade students in my resource class are also working on vocabulary and comprehension, together with reading fluency. In order to have continuity between ELA class and resource class, we are using the Amplify texts that are used in core class. This provides continuity in all aspects of reading. A link to this site is provided on the student’s Google Classroom ELA page which is updated daily
Two fifth grade math students are diligently working in CMC Math Level C honing their skills in two digit addition and subtraction.
Sixth grade students are continuing with dividing fractions and will be moving on to decimals.
