Hello SMS!
I am very excited to be a part of Surgoinsville Middle School, and I am looking forward to a promising school year as I meet and work with your children. Our teachers and support staff are committed to setting high expectations for all students to grow and learn as we provide the best possible education in a positive, safe learning environment. I look forward to partnering with you to ensure the children at SMS are celebrated and supported.
Before joining SMS, I have been a high school English teacher at Cherokee High School and an assistant principal at Rogersville Middle School. As a teacher and administrator, I desire students to problem-solve, develop strong critical thinking, and hone their knowledge while becoming creative, independent thinkers who demonstrate care and concern for others, our community, and our world.
