Mrs. Sampson's class explored the Engineering Design Process today. The students were challenged to create a tower with marshmallows and spaghetti noodles. Not only did they need to build the tallest one but it also had to stand without help for 10 seconds!!! 🧡

We would like to thank the sponsors of the SMS football team! Go Eagles 🦅 🧡

Tomorrow is the kickoff of football season at SMS! Our Eagles have an away game at Parrotsville. To celebrate, we are wearing ORANGE & WHITE! Show up and show out wearing our school colors on Thursday, August 13th!

Ms. Holcomb's classes read Mr Peabody’s Apples. Students did a toothpaste activity where they squeezed out a tube of toothpaste and then tried to put the toothpaste back into the tube. This activity led to a class discussion on the power of our words. It’s easy for you to say things but much harder to make things right if we hurt someone.

It was a muddy first cross country meet at Civitan Park in Johnson City. Our Eagles even ran into some former Eagles. 🦅
